00Data requirements

What we need to size your system.

The five-step PKE method starts with your data, not our catalog. This page is the complete checklist. Gather it once and the sizing study moves in days instead of months.

01Core dataset

Every study needs these

InputSpecification
Utility settlement data12 months · HT bill / settlement files
Interval load data15-min or better · meter or SCADA export
ToD tariff scheduleCurrent tariff order · all slots and rates
Contract demandSanctioned kVA · penalty structure
Single-line diagramConnection point · transformer ratings
CORE DATASET · REQUIRED FOR EVERY STUDY

Why drawal and injection both

The sizing engine reconciles what you drew from the grid against what you injected: solar export, DG contribution, everything. The reconciled record is what the Customer Energy Matrix is built from; unreconciled data produces systems sized to accounting artifacts.

Share your electricity bills and settlement files in the original format issued by your utility. We work directly from those documents.
02By application

Application-specific additions

Peak shaving and ToD arbitrage

The core dataset carries most of this study. Add anything that changes your demand profile within the horizon:

+ Planned load additions or removals, with dates
+ Open-access agreements, if any
+ Power factor history, if penalized

Tower cranes and hoists

Crane duty is about peaks rather than averages, so the pairing depends on the machine itself:

+ Crane make and model (or class in tonnes)
+ Main motor rating (kW) and max AC current
+ Shift pattern: hours per day, days per week
+ Site supply: grid kVA available, or DG rating on site

Solar self-consumption

Storage is sized to the gap between when the roof generates and when the site consumes:

+ PV capacity (kWp) and string orientation
+ Generation data: inverter export, 12 months if available
+ Export constraints or net-metering terms
+ Planned PV expansion, if any

DG replacement and hybrid

The hybrid architecture is chosen by what the DG actually does today:

+ DG ratings and count
+ Fuel logs: litres per month, 12 months
+ Run-hour logs and typical loading (%)
+ Objective: lowest cost · silent/zero-emission · minimum fleet change

Critical and data-center backup

Backup sizing is contractual, so the study starts from the obligations:

+ Critical load schedule (kW, by bus)
+ Required autonomy (minutes/hours) and SLA terms
+ Existing UPS/DG topology and transfer scheme
+ Redundancy requirement: N, N+1, 2N

03Handling

How your data is treated

Purpose-limited

Study data is used to produce your sizing study and nothing else. It is not resold, benchmarked across clients, or retained past the engagement without your written consent.

Returned with the study

The study ships with the reconciled dataset and the Customer Energy Matrix, so your data comes back in better shape than it arrived.

Have the files? The study starts now.

Attach what you have; a partial set still starts the conversation, and we will list exactly what remains.
