Safety as layers, not a feature

A storage system is safe when every layer assumes the one below it can fail, so PKE engineers five of them.

L1Chemistry

LFP · semi-solid cells

Lithium iron phosphate is the safety baseline across Block, Power, Spike and Core Mini: thermal stability first, energy density second, with a wide operating window before any electronics get involved. Core 250, Core 2000 and Vault 5000 step up to semi-solid cells instead, PKE's platform choice for even greater resistance to thermal runaway.

L2Electronics

BMS isolation

Per-group voltage, current and temperature sensing with enforced limits: current derating at extremes, balancing across modules and isolation at the smallest boundary on fault.

L3Suppression

Aerosol + detection

Aerosol suppression with smoke and temperature detection as standard, with layout and venting designed so a cell event stays a cell event.

L4Enclosure

IP54–IP55 · C4 · engineered access

Ingress protection, corrosion class and lockable service access rated for real Indian sites, which means dust, monsoon and coastal air instead of laboratory conditions.

L5System

N+1 for critical loads

Where the load is contractual, as in data centers and process industry, block-level redundancy keeps the site up through maintenance or a fault.

Where an EPC stops, PKE keeps going

Sizing study from your meter

Settlement data, interval load and tariff go through the five-step method before any hardware is discussed. The study is the contract's foundation; see what we need from you.

System engineering

Power and energy sized separately, protection coordinated, grid-code compliance engineered in, cooling matched to duty cycle. An EPC integrates what a vendor sells; PKE engineers what the study proved.

Factory build and commissioning

Blocks arrive integrated and tested. Site scope stays small (civil, cabling and commissioning), which is how schedules hold.

Dispatch software that earns

The EMS runs the study's dispatch plan in production: charge off-peak or on solar surplus, discharge into peaks, hold demand limits. The savings model and the operating software are the same logic.

Operations and monitoring

Web and app monitoring, alarm escalation, performance reporting against the study's numbers. When actuals drift from the model, that becomes our service ticket, not yours.

Augmentation by design

Module-level augmentation and parallel headroom are planned from day one, with Power scaling to 8 units, Block to 6 and Core Mini to 10 on-grid, so capacity grows with load instead of being replaced by it.

One counterparty across the lifecycle means one throat to choke when numbers drift. That is the practical difference between an EPC and a solution provider.

The PKE Solution Configurator reads your utility settlement files directly, reconciles drawal against injection, and builds the Customer Energy Matrix by date and time slot. Systems come out sized to the meter instead of a margin of fear, and the difference is capex you never spend.

Dispatch before purchase

Every candidate configuration is simulated against your actual ToD tariff with 88% round-trip losses and degradation applied. If the payback does not close in the model, no hardware is proposed.

COperation

Tariff-aware EMS

Charge and discharge windows follow the tariff calendar automatically; a tariff revision is a parameter change, not a site visit. Modbus TCP and API dispatch integrate with your plant systems.

DVerification

Reported against the model

Monthly performance is reported against the study's projected savings, the same numbers the board approved, so the value stays measured instead of assumed.

Why 88% RTE matters more than 97.8%

Peak conversion efficiency describes one direction on a good day. Round-trip efficiency is what your arbitrage actually keeps: every rupee of off-peak energy returns 88 paise at the peak. PKE models on the honest number and still closes paybacks.

Air to liquid, as duty rises

Block 15 runs simple fan cooling for its light, temporary duty. The Power series steps up through air, air + A/C and forced-air cooling as output climbs from 150 to 500 kW. Spike adds dual-side liquid + air cooling to survive repeated high-current transients.

STAStationary fleet

HVAC to liquid, as scale rises

Core Mini blends HVAC (Core 70) and forced-air cooling (Core 90/120) inside a single sealed cabinet. Core 250, Core 2000 and Vault 5000 all step up to liquid cooling at megawatt scale, holding a tighter cell-to-cell temperature spread for the same parasitic load.

Heat is capacity fade

Sustained thermal excursion is cycle life you never get back. Cooling is sized for the dispatch profile from the study (cycles per day, depth of discharge, ambient), not for the brochure photo.
